This Scene
Deserves Its
Own Platform.

U.M.A is an independent platform built by a metalhead, for the metal community. No VC money. No algorithm. No corporate bullshit. Just bands, venues, and promoters connected the way the scene actually works.

  • 0%

    VC funding. Zero investors.

  • €0

    Cost for fans.

The Problem

The Scene Is Scattered.

The metal community is massive, passionate, and global — but completely fragmented across algorithms designed for pop music, platforms owned by corporations who don't understand us, and group chats that dispersed

01

The '50k Follower' Filter

The industry’s big players only have eyes for bands with massive social media numbers because that’s the only way they know how to measure value. If you’re a local band making honest music but haven't mastered the art of being a 'content creator', you're effectively invisible to the systems that run the modern music world.

02

The Algorithmic Filter

Mainstream platforms are built to reward 'content creators', not artists. Because the algorithms prioritize whatever generates the most clicks/likes/views/shares etc., honest underground music gets buried under a mountain of polished trends. Your favorite bands shouldn't have to 'pay to play' or record viral videos just to let you know they are coming to your city.

03

An Industry Gap

The industry is designed for stadium tours and massive commercial returns—it has no room for a 100-cap basement show. This leaves the most authentic parts of our culture without proper tools. We’re being forced to use platforms that treat our scene like a commodity rather than a community.

04

A Scattered Tribe

The metal community is massive and global, but we are fragmented across mainstream algorithms and corporate platforms that don't understand us. Without a shared home base, we’re stuck in isolated group chats and unknown forums, losing the accidental magic of wandering into a new city and simply being able to find your people.

No VC. No paywall for fans.
No algorithms shoving ads down your throat. Just a map to the noise.

— U.M.A, 2026

What We're Building

Two Apps. One Scene.

U.M.A is an ecosystem of two connected apps:  U.M.A for fans is the front-row experience for iOS and Android, built for discovery and connection. U.M.A Stage is the backstage command center for bands and venues, accessible via web and PWA. It’s a closed-loop ecosystem where every show booked and every fan reached strengthens the entire community

01

The Scene Network

Instead of hunting for info across dead links and fragmented social media bios, we’re building a central database where venues, promoters, and bands finally exist in one place. It’s a specialized search tool designed to help you find the right stage or the right act based on genre and location—no more shouting into the void of a crowded inbox

02

Collaborative Events

No more fragmented planning. Bands, promoters, and venues co-create events directly on the platform to ensure every detail is synced. Once a show is published, it hits the map, the fan feeds, and the calendars instantly—eliminating manual cross-posting and lost flyers

03

Fan Discovery App

A dedicated mobile home for discovery. Follow venues and bands, find shows near you, or scout the scene before you travel. Built to be fast, simple, and forever free for fans. Free. No ads, no paywalls, and no corporate interference

04

Community-Funded Independence

We don’t answer to VCs; we answer to the scene. Fans pay nothing to find the noise, while the operators pay for the professional tools they need to manage their business. By staying community-funded, we never have to sell your data or take corporate money—ensuring the platform stays independent and honest

  • Monthly call — last Wednesday of every month One hour, PIT CREW only. Casual conversation about the app, the scene, ideas, whatever is on your mind. The quarterly calls (which PIT CREW also joins) are for roadmap discussion — the monthly calls are more like having a beer with someone who is building something you care about.
  • Early access via Expo Go — available now The app is live and connected to a real backend. It is early and imperfect — some things work beautifully, some things still need work. As a PIT CREW member you get access before anyone else and a front-row seat to watch it come together.
